Dealing With Objections to Ministry
When Christ's power moves in our lives, opposition inevitably follows. In Luke 11, Jesus demonstrates His authority over demonic forces by casting out a demon and restoring a man's ability to speak. Yet even as the crowds witness this miracle, religious leaders and skeptics attempt to discredit His work, claiming His power comes from Satan or demanding an impossible sign from heaven. But Jesus silences their illogical arguments with simple truth: a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand, and Satan would never empower someone to defeat his own forces. The finger of God is at work here, breaking Satan's hold and ushering in God's kingdom.
If you follow Christ, you will face opposition to your ministry just as Jesus did. People will reject your gospel conversations, dismiss your prayers, and question your motives. But take heart: the same power that cast out demons lives in you through the Holy Spirit. Though Satan is strong, Jesus is infinitely stronger. He has already defeated the enemy and set us free. So go forward without fear, confident in Christ's power to transform hearts and lives. The kingdom of God withstands all opposition, and Jesus alone is the way, the truth, and the life.
