 Good Afternoon Church!

Pastor Josh and family are enjoying a week of vacation. We have many additional avenues to connect with one another at this time, and I'd like to encourage everyone to be deliberate in connecting with the church body. We are called to be a part of a church community, as Paul writes in Romans 12:5, "In the same way, we are many, but in Christ we are all one body. Each one is a part of that body, and each part belongs to all the other parts." Though we are many, we are all parts of the same body!

In my master’s degree at Liberty University, we are working through the importance of Servant Evangelism in being an effective witness for Christ. What does this look like? It is serving others how Jesus served. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, got down on His hands and feet and washed the feet of His disciples. They were shocked! Once He finished, He instructed them that "If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash each other’s feet. I did this as an example so that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, a servant is not greater than his master. A messenger is not greater than the one who sent him" (John 13:14-16). Christ humbled Himself before those that followed Him, and it was powerful. Imagine the effectiveness of the church when we humble ourselves and serve one another! It shows a Christ-like attitude among believers and opens doors to share the gospel that may have previously been closed. I pray that we can be a people who are Servant Leaders in all that we do!

God is good. Please don't hesitate to let me know if I can do anything for you during this time. See you soon!

God bless, Brandon Rodriguez
