Hard Truths of Discipleship
When Scripture conflicts with our opinions, we are the problem! So I pray that when you come to terms with these hard passages in Scripture, you stop. Do not try to explain them away; instead, ask yourself, "Am I the problem here?" It's hard for us - that's hard for me too. But it is biblical, and we must be biblical - not surface level, not comfortable and cozy. We need to be in the Word and seek to be less like ourselves and more like Christ. That is sanctification, and that is the ongoing process that every believer who is regenerated must participate in. It’s so important for us to be people of the Word, especially when it's tough, especially when it goes against our flesh.
God Bless,
Pastor Brandon
