Prayer, Apostles, & Biblical Scholarship

You can trust your Bible and base your life on Jesus' teachings! Don't be swayed by those who claim that the Scriptures we have are untrustworthy. Luke 6:12-16 teaches us that when we need to make a decision, we should pause and pray, just as Jesus did before selecting the Twelve. We learn from that passage that there is a distinction between "disciple" and "apostle." Let me warn you to be skeptical of ministries that use the title "Apostle," as it was reserved for a specific purpose in the foundation of the church. And we see in that passage the list of names of the twelve men Jesus selected to be His closest followers. The names used were exactly the names that would have been popular during that time, lending credibility to the historical account of the Bible. Let me encourage you to pray often and read your Bibles!

God Bless,
Pastor Brandon
