There is a God Who Cares!
There is a God who cares!
That was what we learned at Vacation Bible School this past week with Emerald Crossing, an Irish adventure through Psalm 23.
We have a God who cares about us, as King David writes in Psalm 23, who can be our shepherd, who makes us lie down beside still waters and green pastures, and who leads us in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. And even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we don't have to fear any evil because He is with us.
Then, at that point, David addresses God more personally: "You are with me. Your rod and staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
That promise is for us as children of God when we believe, and Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. He says, "I am the Good Shepherd," in John 10. I pray, just as our children learn, that you would call Jesus to be your Good Shepherd, repent and believe, and call Him to be the Lord of your life.
God Bless,
Pastor Brandon
