The Substance and Character of Judgement

In Luke 6:37-45, Jesus discusses the topic of judging others. As part of this, He addresses the essence and nature of judgment. The main issue with judgment in our lives is often pride, thinking we are better than others and feeling justified in condemning them, effectively placing ourselves on the same level as God. Instead, Jesus teaches us to forgive and extend grace freely. The character of judgment shows us two paths: the first is the path of perceived superiority, where we believe we are better than others, are blinded by the logs in our own eyes, and lead others into the pit; the second is the path of humility, which Jesus exemplified, where we regard others as greater than ourselves. Which path are you on, and whom are you following? The world or Christ?
