Who Will You Follow?

​Who will you follow? Jesus challenges His followers in the Sermon on the Plain in Luke 6:20-49 to follow the upside-down kingdom of God, to show kindness to those who persecute them, and to build their lives on the firm foundation of Christ rather than this world. This challenge extends to us. Being a believer means we will be persecuted or ostracized for our faith, and Jesus is clear that we are to love those who do this to us! Jesus gives a difficult teaching, but we can look forward to those wonderful words, "Well done, good and faithful servant," when we get to heaven. Will you follow Jesus Christ, our Lord?
