Concluding Thoughts on Luke 7

As we conclude Luke 7, keep in mind the themes that Luke was recording in his "orderly account." Luke 7 begins immediately following Jesus' Sermon on the Plain, where Jesus heals a centurion's servant because of the amazing display of faith by this Roman soldier! At the end of this chapter, Jesus does something far greater than healing the sick; Jesus forgives the sins of a sinful woman. Jesus moves from healing to forgiveness! Prophet's heal, but only God can forgive, thus showing that Jesus forgiving sins is in itself a divine claim. Jesus is God. Will you follow Him today?
