Jesus Heals and Preaches

Jesus came with authority—not the authority of men, but the divine authority of God Himself. When He entered Capernaum, the people saw it firsthand. Unlike the teachers of the law, Jesus spoke with power, and even the demons recognized His identity, trembling before Him. He silenced them, cast them out, and healed the sick with a simple rebuke. No ritual, no hesitation—just the undeniable power of the Son of God. He came not just to teach, but to demonstrate that He alone has power over sin, sickness, and Satan.

Yet, Jesus' mission was greater than one town. Though the people begged Him to stay, He declared, “I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.” His purpose was not just to heal bodies, but to save souls. He calls us today, just as He called them then—to recognize His authority, to repent, and to follow. Will we receive Him, like the people of Capernaum, or reject Him, like those in Nazareth? The choice is before us.
