Jesus Heals a Paralytic

Jesus has the power to heal, but more importantly, He has the authority to forgive sins. In Luke 5, we see a powerful moment where a group of friends, driven by faith, stop at nothing to bring a paralyzed man to Jesus. They tear through a roof, lowering him before Christ—and in response, Jesus not only heals the man but forgives his sins, proving His divine authority. The Pharisees question Him, but Jesus demonstrates that He is more than a healer; He is the Son of God, the one who came to seek and save the lost.

This passage challenges us: Do we have a faith that overcomes obstacles? Are we willing to do whatever it takes to bring others to Jesus? And when God moves in our lives—whether through healing, provision, or even in suffering—do we glorify Him? The same Jesus who forgave and healed the paralytic is still at work today. Will you trust Him, follow Him, and bring others to Him?
