John 3:16 on 3/16
For God so loved the world—these words hold the fullness of the Gospel in a single breath. John 3:16 is more than just a verse; it is the very heartbeat of God’s redemptive plan. Before the foundation of the world, before sin entered, before we even took a breath, God had already prepared the way for salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. This is not a love that wavers, not a gift that fades, but the ultimate expression of grace—the giving of His only begotten Son, so that all who believe in Him may not perish but have eternal life. Today, we stand in the shadow of the cross, beholding the greatest gift ever given, a gift not earned by works but received by faith, transforming hearts, renewing minds, and securing an eternal hope in Christ.
So I ask you, church—what is the greatest gift you have ever received? Not something that rusts, fades, or is forgotten, but a gift that brings life, a new heart, and an eternal inheritance. The Gospel is not about our striving but about God's mercy. Jesus, the perfect Lamb, bore our sins, took on the punishment we deserved, and through His resurrection, shattered the power of sin and death forever. This is the message that changes everything. It is not just an invitation—it is a call. Look to Jesus, believe, and receive the life that only He can give.
