Palm Sunday
On this Palm Sunday, we remember the moment Jesus rode into Jerusalem—not on a warhorse, but on a humble colt, fulfilling ancient prophecy and declaring himself the true Messiah. The crowd shouted, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” They laid down their coats, waved palm branches, and lifted their voices in worship. But this celebration was more than a parade—it was a proclamation of a King who came in peace, not power. A King who would trade a throne for a cross.
But let us not be like the crowd who praised Him one day and cried “crucify” the next. Let us be like the unnamed owner of the colt—quick to give, quick to obey, and ready to let go of whatever the Lord requires. Jesus is worthy of all honor and glory, and even if we stayed silent, the stones themselves would cry out. This week, as we enter Holy Week, may our hearts be stirred to worship, to sacrifice, and to follow our Savior who walked willingly toward the cross—for you, and for me.
