Do What You Can
As Jesus concludes His public ministry, we witness the stark differences between the worshippers, like the woman who anoints Jesus with costly perfume, and the naysayers, personified by Judas and the religious leaders plotting Jesus' demise. This woman's act of breaking the alabaster jar and pouring out everything she has onto Jesus symbolizes a total commitment to Him, contrasting sharply with those who sought to gain from their proximity to the Savior without true allegiance.
Let us reflect deeply on where we stand in this narrative: Are we building up the body of Christ with our actions and words, or are we tearing it down? Today, we are challenged to examine our own contributions to our faith community—are we acting out of self-interest or are we fully devoted, pouring out our lives as a fragrant offering to God? Let this story inspire us to live sacrificially and serve faithfully, recognizing that proximity to Jesus does not guarantee faithfulness, but how we respond to His call does. Let us choose, every day, to be builders and promoters of His Kingdom, using our gifts for the glory of God and the good of His people.
