The Source of Temptation
In a world filled with competing worldviews—from humanism to naturalism and syncretism—James reminds us that only a true biblical worldview draws us closer to God and reveals His promises to us. Temptation itself doesn’t come from God; it arises when we’re lured by our own desires. But by keeping our focus on God and viewing life through His Word, we can recognize the traps that lead to sin and find strength to persevere, ultimately receiving the crown of life that God has promised.
Let’s remember that every good and perfect gift comes from above, from our unchanging Father, who sent His Son to redeem us. In facing trials, we’re called not only to endure but to grow in Christ, building character and learning dependence on Him. Just as Caleb saw the Promised Land by trusting God’s promises, we are called to endure with faith, knowing God never fails. Today is the day to choose Christ, to reject sin, and to see the world through His eyes. Together, let’s stand firm, draw closer to Jesus, and embrace the eternal life He offers to those who love and trust Him.
