3 Things Christ Followers Should Do
Luke 10:25-11:13 holistically teaches us three things about disciples of Christ.
First, disciples of Christ love our neighbors. Just as the Good Samaritan, it is imperative that we practically show love to those in need, even if they are people we would consider enemies.
Second, disciples of Christ listen to His word. Just as Mary did, the place of a disciple is at Jesus' feet, listening to His words, learning from them. We are to read the Holy Scripture and learn from God's Word.
Third, disciples of Christ pray. Not only do we listen to the Lord, but we communicate with Him. Jesus gives His disciples the Model Prayer as a template for prayer.
Those three things are for each of us to do.
Do you love your neighbor? Truly love them and serve them?
Do you spend time sitting and listening to the Lord? Or are you too busy working?
Do you take the time to pray, to spend time with our wonderful Father who saves us?
