Shine the Light of Christ
This world needs you to share the good news of Jesus Christ. You are called to proclaim the gospel. So, we must reflect His light. Jesus says that when you are filled with His light, you become so saturated that you are like a mirror. You reflect Jesus' light back out, and everyone recognizes that you belong to Christ Jesus. They ask questions and wonder who this calm and peaceful person is amid all the chaos. They begin to see the fruit of the Spirit that we display as Christians: love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, patience, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. These qualities radiate out of us as proof that we belong to Christ.
But there's a warning—if you don't display these traits and no one knows you're a Christian—spend some time with Jesus and get right with Him so that you may shine His light. May our light shine. Your life should resemble Christ more each day. Does the world know you're a Christian, or is that a secret you hide? It shouldn't be. You need to share about Jesus Christ.
On a dark night, you can look up at the sky. And what do you see?
The moon.
Does that moon generate its own light? No.
What does it do?
It reflects the sunlight.
We, as Christians, must also reflect the light of the Son.
That moonlight can be very bright at times, especially given how dark everything around it is.
How much brighter should we shine, considering how dark this culture is?
Tell somebody about Jesus today.
