Easter Sunday 2026
Today we celebrate the most important truth in all of Christianity: Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day, conquering death and the grave once and for all. This is not just a story or a feeling that warms our hearts. This is a historical fact supported by eyewitness accounts, by the angel's proclamation, and by hundreds of people who saw the risen Christ. When those faithful women went to the tomb that morning expecting to find a body, they found an empty tomb and encountered angels who asked them why they sought the living one among the dead. He is risen. This resurrection changes absolutely everything about how we live, and if you have never placed your faith in Jesus, I encourage you to hear every reason why you should today.
Following Jesus means we take up our cross and deny ourselves because His was not an easy life. He was scourged, beaten, and crucified. He paid a price we could never pay for our sins. Yet He did not stay dead. He rose on the third day, and now we have hope that transcends this world. The question is not whether the resurrection happened. The evidence is clear. The question is how will you respond to it. Will you be like the faithful women who received the news and immediately went to share it with others, or will you be blinded by the circumstances around you. Let your life be so radically changed by the resurrection that when people see you, they see something different, someone who has truly encountered the risen Christ.
