Messengers From John the Baptist Pt.1

Are you ready to believe even when God doesn't move the way you expected? John the Baptist, once so confident in the coming Messiah, finds himself locked away in prison. And in that darkness, he sends a question to Jesus: Are you the one, or should we look for another? Jesus doesn’t respond with arguments or theology. He shows the blind receiving sight, the lame walking, the lepers cleansed, the deaf hearing, the dead raised, and the gospel preached to the poor. Then he says, Blessed is the one who does not stumble over me.

So I ask you today, do you follow God only when life feels good, or will you trust him when it breaks apart? Will you cling to your own expectations, or will you believe in the God who fulfills every promise in unexpected ways? The Messiah has come not with a sword in hand, but with healing, grace, and a cross. And though you may face disappointment, sickness, loss, or silence, remember this: God is not failing you. He is working a plan higher than yours. Don't stumble over the unexpected. Trust him. He is the Expected One.
