Jesus Christ Deserves to Be First in Your Life
Who is the most important person in your life? For some of you it might be your spouse, your children, a close friend. For others, it might even be yourselves. But here's what I need you to understand: whoever or whatever is most important to us is where we spend our time and commit our energy. That's why I'm here to tell you that Jesus Christ deserves to be first in your life. He's God Himself, the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. By Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, and in Him all things hold together.
But beyond that, Jesus does what no other individual can do, has ever done, or will ever do. He rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His beloved Son. He provided redemption and forgiveness of sins through His blood shed on the cross. When you repent of your sins and accept Him, God takes your sin and places it on Jesus, then takes His righteousness and places it on you. That's grace. And as the Head of the church, Jesus calls us to proclaim Him and present every person complete in Christ. After all that Jesus Christ has done, will you let Him be first?
