The New Self Pt.1
In Colossians 3, we're reminded to set our hearts and minds on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. The world is broken by sin, but through Jesus' death and resurrection, we have been given new life. As believers, we are called to seek after Jesus with everything we have, abandoning the distractions and temptations of this world. Just like a parent would desperately search for a lost child, we are to passionately pursue Christ, dedicating our lives to Him and forsaking all that pulls us away.
We cannot serve both the world and Christ; our lives must reflect our love for Him. With the power of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of God's Word, we are equipped to live for Jesus, growing in faith and righteousness. Today, we must ask ourselves—are we chasing after the fleeting things of this world, or are we seeking the eternal things of God? Let us commit to following Jesus with reckless abandon, knowing that He alone is worthy of our devotion, now and forever.
